My Beliefs
Core Belief
Every aspect of my life is built on the core belief that God has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God, known as the Trinity. I believe they remain constantly active, continuously present, and we are daily invited into a deep, transformative, abiding relationship with this Godhead. To some, this is a mystery, but not to me; it is at the very core of who I am and how I choose to live my life.

Who God is to Me

Father:
He is loving and supportive, provides guidance, protection, and unconditional love, shaping my life with patience, devotion and wisdom to navigate life’s challenges.
Friend:
He is trustworthy, patient and loyal. He listens, and he gently speaks to me in many ways. He cares about the details of my life and enjoys spending time with me.
Provider:
He is the source of everything I need. He selflessly provided the sacrifice of His son so I could be in relationship with him.
Shepherd:
He protects, guides, and cares for me. He actively sought to find me and bring me back, many times in my life when I strayed from His presence.
Anchor:
He is my anchor, providing stability, hope, and security in the midst of the challenges and storms I have experienced. God holds me secure, even when my own grip falters.
Healer:
I am made whole, physically, mentally and spiritually, for the purpose of furthering His kingdom. It doesn’t always look the way I expect but I know that His ways are greater.
Banner:
As a symbol of a rallying point, I live in unity with my leader in assurance that He is fighting for me. He provides hope, focus and is my shield from uncertainty and harm.
Peace:
He guards my heart and mind and provides rest, contentment and a feeling of calm that goes beyond human understanding, even when I am faced with difficult circumstances.
Deliverer:
He has rescued me from the bondage of my sin, from physical threats, temptation, and spiritual attacks of the enemy who desires to render me powerless.
Rock:
He is the cornerstone and firm foundation that my entire life is built upon. He is strong, immovable and permanent. He is a shelter of safety for me in the shifting uncertainty of life.

What Jesus Means to Me
I believe Jesus is my Lord. He is my authority, my ruler, my boss, and my master over my entire life. It’s easy for me to yield to Him because of the sacrificial love He displayed when He gave up His life for me.

Jesus was the perfect sacrifice for me, and now all my sins are forgiven.

His shed blood was a gift that reconciled me to the Father.

I never forget the amazing love He proved to me when He died for me.

His wonderful blood washed me clean; it’s profound to me yet so simple.

Jesus is righteous, and when God looks at me, He sees me as righteous, only because of the precious blood Jesus shed for me.

I live in the wonder of His blood every day.

He showed me His power over all sin and death when He rose from the dead.

The name of Jesus gives me authority and power beyond human comprehension.

I am dependent on Him. I can do nothing without Him.

My life is centered around Him. Everything I do is with Him, for Him, and because of Him.
I believe that the love of Jesus deserves my soul, my life, my all.
What the Holy Spirit Means to Me
I have made my permanent home in Him.

He seals me and sets me apart for God's purposes.

He is my power for living.

He helps me understand truth.

He guides me to do what is right.

He gives me spiritual gifts so I can build others up.

He is my helper, teacher, and intercessor.

He empowers me to change.

Transformation happens when I stop trying to change on my own and solely rely on Him to do it.

I try to surrender to His control every minute of the day.

I have realized that whatever I don’t surrender to Him is my responsibility to maintain.

He produces the fruits of love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control in my life.
What the Word of
God means to Me
I love the Word of God and could fill page after page sharing what it means to me. I believe that it is alive, active, and powerfully transformative. Reading it is a form of worship for me, and through it, I intimately connect with my God. I know that it is not like any other literary document. The human authors were miraculously guided by the Holy Spirit to write exactly what God intended, His will and His truth, from cover to cover. I hope you will take time to soak in some of my favorite passages and allow them to deepen your relationship with your Heavenly Father.

His Extravagant Love
Then, by constantly using your faith, the life of Christ will be released deep inside you, and the resting place of his love will become the very source and root of your life. Then you will be empowered to discover what every holy one experiences—the great magnitude of the astonishing love of Christ in all its dimensions. How deeply intimate and far-reaching is his love! How enduring and inclusive it is! Endless love beyond measurement that transcends our understanding—this extravagant love pours into you until you are filled to overflowing with the fullness of God! Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream,
and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous
power constantly energizes you.
Ephesians 3:17-20 (TPT)
God’s Infinite Knowledge and Presence
Lord, you know everything there is to know about me. You perceive every movement of my heart and soul, and you understand my every thought before it even enters my mind. You are so intimately aware of me, Lord. You read my heart like an open book, and you know all the words I’m about to speak before I even start a sentence! You know every step I will take before my journey even begins. You’ve gone into my future to prepare the way, and in kindness you follow behind me to spare me from the harm of my past. You have laid your hand on me! This is just too wonderful, deep, and incomprehensible! Your understanding of me brings me wonder and strength. Where could I go from your Spirit? Where could I run and hide from your face? If I go up to heaven, you’re there! If I go down to the realm of the dead, you’re there too! If I fly with wings into the shining dawn, you’re there! If I fly into the radiant sunset, you’re there waiting! Wherever I go, your hand will guide me; your strength will empower me.
Psalm 139:1-10 (TPT)
Necessity of Abiding in Him
I am a true sprouting vine, and the farmer who tends the vine is my Father. He cares for the branches connected to me by lifting and propping up the fruitless branches and pruning every fruitful branch to yield a greater harvest. The words I have spoken over you have already cleansed you. So, you must remain in life-union with me, for I remain in life-union with you. For as a branch severed from the vine will not bear fruit, so your life will be fruitless unless you live your life intimately joined to mine. I am the sprouting vine and you’re my branches. As you live in union with me as your source, fruitfulness will stream from within you—but when you live separated from me you are powerless.
John 15:1-5 (TPT)
